So I don’t know about you but I love a good flair skirt. Everyone should have a flair skirt as a staple piece in their wardrobe. I wanted a neutral so it would be an easy transition from heels to kicks. If you have read one of my early blog entries about my fabric shopping trips, you would know that I shop in discount fabric stores found in urban city shopping areas. So I found this beauty on a small roll and purchased all of the 3 yards available for $6. Yes thats right $6. Thats just one of the perks of living in a big city. The big name fabric stores are not always selling everything, so then it trickles down to my fabric stores, and piles up in my stash. Yay Me!!!
So I cut the tea-length version but I did alter the pattern by hemming the skirt like the hem of a baseball tee shortening the sideseams (I wish I would have taken a pic of her walking in it so you would see the elevated part). I also added a sideseam pocket in a contrast color on one side.
